Grapes as a symbol of autumn is very important theme
for work with preschool kids. The process of making
children’s art works with grape is very simple,
even for younger preschoolers. Grapes can be
represented in different ways, different materials
and various art techniques.
How to make grapes
In this case, we will need following material:
- modeling clay
- cardstock paper
- tempera
- colored paper
- glue
Very often, it is difficult to find in stores cardstock paper in different colors. Never mind. Mix tempera to get different colors. When you do that, it is enough to dip a sponge in paint, spread the cardstock paper and wait few minutes to dry.

After obtaining background, form a ball of modeling clay (clusters). Apply glue to the sponge and arrange clusters. It would be desirable that children very slightly press the modeling clay ball, in order to stick it more easily to the cardstock paper.

When clusters are glued and dried, use colored paper to create stem and leaf and glue them into right place. Made petiole simply twisting the paper. The leaf of the grapes you will get by the wrinkling, and then spreading the paper.

Tip:
When children work with modeling clay, it is desirable to form it before it starts to dry. When modeling clay is a dried, it crumbles and then it is difficult to use.
