HOW TO MAKE EARRINGS FROM MELON SEEDS

You can make a lot of interesting decorations from
natural materials. Earrings are another way to take advantage
of melon seeds. They are made quickly and easily.
With a little assistance from teacher or parent,
earrings can be made by children of preschool age.
This is also an easy craft for kids and will encourage them
to make other nice things from natural materials.

First thing you need to do is to collect the seeds from the melons. We remind you: seeds should be firstly removed from the melon, best with a spoon. After that,  wash and leave seed  to dry. If you do not want to use the seeds now, you can save it in water. Of course, in that case you will need to change the water every 2 or 3 days.

Other materials needed for work is:

• thread
• needle
• clip earrings
• scissors

HOW TO MAKE EARRINGS

Insert the needle into the center of the seed.  Put on the thread seeds one by one. Melon seed is soft and needle very easy passes through it.

Repeat seeds until you achieve the length needed to make a circle, as shown. Size of the circle is arbitrary. Tie a thread  as close to the seeds and fasten the buckle.

Trim the excess of thread and seed earrings are finished.

The other option is even easier. First, pull the small pellet, in this case wood, that seeds would not be burned to the end.  Put seeds on the thread as desired and connect the buckle.
